Cross-border e-commerce cooperation conference opens in Nanjing

The 2024 China (Nanjing) Cross-border E-commerce Opening-up and Cooperation Conference opened in Nanjing on July 30.

At the meeting, the city unveiled an integrated service platform to support e-commerce beyond borders, the first of its kind in Jiangsu, and a center to showcase the achievements of data application.

Among other notable developments, Nanjing has constructed the Yangtze River Delta Cross-Border E-commerce Industrial Park in Jianye District, and established Jiangsu’s first fund dedicated to cross-border e-commerce.

The event saw the signing of agreements for several major projects, covering insurance services, investment funds, and digital ecosystem infrastructure. For instance, the Nanjing Municipal People's Government will deepen cooperation with Jiangsu branch of the China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, in order to increase support for cross-border e-commerce, goods and services trade, tech startups and finance. Nanjing will also enhance its cooperation with Amazon to support the development of the cross-border e-commerce.

Leveraging resources from universities in Jiangsu, the city plans to establish talent training and practice bases for cross-border e-commerce development.
