The Global Industrial Technology Innovation Conference opened in Nanjing on January 18, attracting approximately 400 guests from 20 countries and regions.
The 2-day event includes ten forums and a roadshow, focusing on international cooperation, reform of S&T administration system, talent training, fintech, carbon neutrality technology, advanced manufacturing and synthetic biology.
The roadshow on January 19 showcases over 30 advanced technologies in various sectors, such as advanced materials, biomedicine, manufacturing and environmental protection, drawing attention of dozens of investment institutions, and representatives from the province’s S&T departments and industrial parks.
Strategic agreements were signed between the National Innovation Center par Excellence and six domestic and international institutions, including Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and Brunel University London.
The Exhibition Hall for Jiangsu Industrial Technology Innovation was also inaugurated at the conference. With a floor area of 9,000 square meters, the venue houses 455 exhibits, focusing on the province's major innovations in several industries, such as IT, equipment and manufacturing, and transportation.
Liu Qing, president of the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, emphasized the exhibition’s role in showcasing Jiangsu's industrial innovation and inspiring young people's interest in science and technology.
