A total of 318 companies from Jiangsu Province are attending the 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), running from 2 to 6 September in Beijing.

Spanning about 100 square meters, the Jiangsu exhibition area showcases technologies and solutions in diverse sectors including artificial intelligence, financial technology, cultural creativity, and industrial Internet.

In recent years, the coastal province has strengthened efforts on digital transformation and application of technologies to enhance its trade in services, which facilitated broader cooperation and exploration of international markets for the province’s manufacturing and emerging industries.

Statistics indicate that the province's digitally-delivered service trade in 2022 increased by 12.1% year-on-year to $30.75 billion, the fourth largest among provincial-level regions in the country, outpacing the national average growth rate by 8.7 percentage points.

In the first half of this year, digitally-delivered service trade in Jiangsu amounted to $15.7 billion, accounting for 52.2% of the total service trade in the period, with the exports value reaching $9.82 billion.

Jiangsu has led the nation for 14 consecutive years in terms of the value of offshore service outsourcing contracts, primarily in the fields of information technology, biomedical R&D and industrial design. Additionally, the province hosts 17 service outsourcing demonstration cities and export bases for services related to digitalization, culture, intellectual property and language, making it one of the most prominent regions in this endeavor nationwide.
