The Jiangsu Administration of Sport has unveiled a 3-year action plan to transform the province into a sports powerhouse.

The key targets from 2023 to 2025 include the addition of 130 new sports parks (squares), 2,000 kilometers of fitness trails, and 1,000 outdoor sports fields with lighting equipment. The plan also aims for a per capita sports venue area of 4.2 square meters.

To meet these objectives, Jiangsu will enhance the development environment for the sports industry, boost consumer spending on sports and leisure activities, and advance the digital sports economy. By 2025, the province's sports industry is projected to be worth over 720 billion yuan. The added value of the service sectors will account for more than 70% of the sports industry, and consumer spending on sports by the province’s urban and rural residents is expected to surpass 300 billion yuan.
