Yangzhou City became the first in Jiangsu Province to release an English version of the collection of rules and regulations for development issued by the municipal government on March 10.

Compiled by the Yangzhou Municipal Bureau of Justice, it includes eight government regulations from 2020 to 2022.

The city has formulated more than 10 regulations since 2015, among which eight were chosen this time because they are currently being applied, while others will be revised.

Zhu Yikai, deputy director of the judicial bureau, said that the English version of the regulations can better facilitate foreign investors to understand and comply with the policy. "This translation is also an important initiative to enhance the transparency of government information disclosure for global investors and is in line with the prevailing rules of world trade," he added.

The bilingual copies will be provided to citizens and foreign investors for free.
