Jiangsu's foreign trade with the EU hit 832.43 billion yuan in 2022, up 8.6% year-on-year, making it the largest trade partner of the coastal province, according to Nanjing Customs.
The Sino-German (Changzhou) Innovation Industrial Park has leveraged its location and industrial advantages to deepen economic and trade cooperation between Jiangsu and the EU, with new achievements achieved in green growth and digital economy. In 2022, the park's imports and exports climbed 29.3% year-on-year to 2.77 billion yuan. It is now home to 52 enterprises from the German-speaking regions with a total investment of more than 2 billion euros.
Atman Co Ltd, based in Kunshan, recently exported goods worth 300,000 yuan to Germany, the company's first order to the EU market in 2023.
To facilitate foreign trade, Kunshan Customs has been continuously providing exporters with guidance on laws and regulations. Customs authorities also helped companies improve safety control in packaging and quality testing so chemical products can be smoothly exported in compliance with requirements.
