Liyang has a tea cultivation area of 72,000 mu (4,800 hectares) and more than 300 enterprises specialized in the industry. Tea leaves are usually picked in one month around Qingming Festival, a traditional Chinese holiday. Tea processing in the city fully depends on various machines and it’s important to ensure the stable power supply.
The project can help cope with the highly seasonal peak load and is estimated to generate around 10,000 kWh of electricity per year.
