In order to accelerate the development of a green and low-carbon circular industrial system, Jiangsu recently released the first batch of six bases for commercialization of  scientific and technological achievements amid efforts to peak carbon dioxide emissions and achieve carbon neutrality.

The six bases recognized are located in Jiangning High-tech Park for smart grid, Suzhou National Hi-Tech District for medical equipment, Yixing Environmental Technology Industrial Park for wastewater utilization, Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone for biomedicine, Xuzhou High-tech Zone for emergency equipment, and Liyang High-tech Zone for automotive battery.

Taking advantage of the strengths of the industrial parks, the six bases will mainly cultivate enterprises specialized in green technology, create platforms for innovation and enhance service systems for technology commercialization. 

They will also become the hubs to apply new technologies for sustainable development, promote the application of such technologies, and provide a strong support for the smart and low-carbon transformation of industrial parks.
