Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and governor Xu Kunlin met with the delegation led by Liu Liehong, chairman of China Unicom, in Nanjing on September 20.

Wu said Jiangsu is committed to promoting the development of digital economy and commercialization of digital technologies. The province will accelerate the construction of digital infrastructure, advance the integration with real economy in all aspects, continuously improve digital governance services, and make the province a powerhouse of digital economy.

Wu also said he hopes China Unicom will increase its cooperation with the province in fields of digital infrastructure, intelligent transformation of industries, cultivation of digital industry clusters and digital governance capacity building.

The province will strengthen efforts to foster market-oriented business environment underpinned by sound legal framework, providing better services for the enterprises in Jiangsu.

In the meeting, Liu said that Jiangsu stands out for its solid manufacturing base, rich scientific and educational resources for innovation, and digital application scenarios. He pledged China Unicom will build more major industrial projects and innovation platforms in Jiangsu and help the province’s high-quality economic and social development.
