Jiangsu has nine high-tech zones recognized on the list of Top 100 High-quality Development Parks released by CCID Consulting, according to the province’s Department of Science and Technology.

The nine honored are the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) and high-tech zones in Nanjing, Wuxi Suzhou, Changzhou, Kunshan, Wujin, Jiangyin and Nantong. The SIP has maintained its fourth place, Nantong’s high-tech zone made it to the list for the first time, and the rest all climbed higher in the ranking.
Covering 6.2% of the province's land area, high-tech zones generated 28.9% of the province's GDP, 32.9% of total exports and 53.8% of high-tech industry output. They are also home to 40.6% of professionals recognized in talent programs at and above the provincial level as well as 51.4% of high-tech enterprises. Such zones are the province’s most competitive areas in innovation, talent hubs and industrial growth leaders, making an important contribution to the province's high-quality development.
