A high-end forum on engineering science and technology strategy of power semiconductors and integrated circuits opened in Huishan District of Wuxi City on July 22.
Experts, scholars and guests from government departments, industries, universities and research institutes discussed the issues of technological progress and innovation in this field.
Ten experts including Professor Kostya Novoselov, a Nobel laureate, Willy Sansen, a Fellow of the IEEE, and Wu Hanming, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, made keynote speeches in the event, offering advice on improving China's power semiconductors, IC design and manufacturing, and industrial development.
Wuxi, a hub of China's IC industry, is now home to more than 400 IC enterprises after years of development, which form a full-fledged supply chain to the industry. The companies specialize in chip design, wafer manufacturing, packaging and testing, materials and equipment, support and other fields。
