A meeting to promote cooperation in eco-friendly urban development between China and France opened at the China-Europe (Changzhou) Green Innovation Park on March 2 both on-site and virtually.
The innovation park, located in the Green Building Industry Demonstration Zone in Wujin District, was established in October 2020. It has formed good cooperation relations with embassies and consulates, research institutions, and leading enterprises from European countries.
As the only demonstration zone of its kind in China, the site is an important destination to put into practice the consensus on green and low-carbon cooperation between the leaders of China and France. It intends to be recognized on the list of the fourth batch of Sino-French demonstration projects.
In the meeting, the two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in resource recycling, net-zero emission technologies, clean energy, smart cities, and digital transformation of the building sector.
Benoit Guidée, Consul of France in Shanghai, said France and China enjoy a solid foundation and great potential for cooperation in eco-friendly industries. He hoped the meeting can facilitate partnership in the research and application of green and low-carbon technologies and also improve the bilateral relations.
