Container ship "FESCO SOFIA" carrying machinery equipment, chemicals and other goods departed from Lianyungang Port on November 4, making the launch of shipping route with Vladivostok.

As the first foreign trade container route operated by FESCO in Lianyungang, it offers a new logistics solution from the city to Central Asia and Europe. Lianyungang can use its sea-rail transport to handle cargoes with Russia as well as Europe and Central Asia.

Lianyungang port will make full use of its advantages as a hub of land-sea transport to boost foreign trade. The short-term goal is to expand the shipping service from biweekly to weekly. Efforts will also be made to improve the logistics network, facilitate customs clearance, and provide better and more convenient services for cargo ships.
