Districts in Nanjing City have rolled out a series of new measures to help enterprises get back on track after the introducing of ten citywide initiatives to mitigate the impact of the recent COVID-19 resurgence.

Such measures included more targeted assistance to companies in need or fast-track services to help businesses reopen and recover.

Jiangsu Hartwii E-commerce has turned to livestreaming service provided by a third party to counter decline in sales, caused by lockdown restrictions, and managed to achieve a tenfold increase. The cooperation became possible thanks to the support of the industrial park where it’s based.

Local government has also supported subsidized loans to help cash-strapped companies. Xuanwu District cooperated with Bank of Nanjing to offer loans totaling 100 million yuan specially for high-tech companies, talent agencies and enterprises featuring high value-added patent. Ten companies have applied for the financial service.

In Nanjing’s Qinhuai District, the department of commerce took the initiative to help 99 catering and accommodation enterprises to apply for government subsidy.

On August 31, Zhang Wenqing, manager of Xianzhi Boat Restaurant at No 26 Dashiba Street, said the restaurant will receive a subsidy of 10,000 yuan thanks to the support of the department of commerce. The restaurant, shut for over one month in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, reopened in September.

Qinhuai District will go all out to organize a consumption festival and increase the subsidy to organizers up to 100,000 yuan. Other efforts including streamlined approval will also be made to accelerate the recovery of the consumer market.
