Industrial enterprises above designated size in Jiangsu Province saw added value expand by 8.1 percent year on year in April, 3.1 percentage points higher than that in March.
Of the 13 cities with subordinate districts, 12 have maintained positive industrial growth in April, with Yancheng, Suzhou and Changzhou picking up the fastest, according to Jiangsu Department of Industry and Information Technology.
Facing the economic pinch of the coronavirus pandemic, industrial enterprises in Jiangsu hade made innovative moves to survive and thrive in the market, introducing new products and technologies.
The department also said the province will add about 200 provincial-level enterprise technology centers this year. Jiangsu is also working on the R&D of 900 new products that are advanced internationally and leading domestically. The province has also 175 projects on the bidding process, and products from those projects have the potential to rival the imported.
