Despite the novel coronavirus outbreak, Lianyungang City of Jiangsu Province has seen the rapid growth of goods transported by China-Europe freight trains.
From January to February, Lianyungang Sino-Kazakhstan logistics base sent and received a total of 72 China-Europe freight trains, a year-on-year increase of 137.9 percent than the same period in last year.
It has loaded and unloaded a total of 10,006 standard containers, up 81.6 percent. Moreover, 34,450 standard containers were handled through the logistics base, up 32 percent than that of the previous year.
Lianyungang’s railway authorty has streamlined management to fully support the operation of the China-Europe freight trains and guaranteed the transportation service for importer and exporters getting back on track.
Through online service and multi-modal transportation, the city has also opened a green channel for rapid customs clearance.
