Jiangsu Province has announced an action plan for 2023-2025 to enhance traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) services, aiming to fully leverage the strengths of TCM and comprehensively elevate service levels.

As part of the strategy, Jiangsu will boost the capacity of TCM-centered institutions to treat outpatients and manage emergency services, establish multidisciplinary teams for diagnosis and treatment, and strengthen the integration of TCM approaches.

Jiangsu will also enhance TCM services at the county level. Community health service centers and township hospitals will be encouraged to offer clinical services that combine Chinese and Western medicine.

Furthermore, the province is committed to enhancing the overall environment for TCM development. Medical institutions will be encouraged to provide personalized TCM services for patients.
