Wuxi will step up efforts in fostering new productive forces, accelerate the construction of the Taihu Bay S&T Innovation Zone, strengthen the city's Industrial Innovation Research Institute, support local universities in deeply involving in regional industrial development, and promote breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields as well as the application of technological achievements. Zhao Jianjun, head of Wuxi delegation at the "two sessions" of Jiangsu Province, added that the city will also reinforce collaboration among industrial parks and enterprises for ecosystem upgrade, further developing its signature industries, including the Internet of Things and integrated circuits. Wuxi aims to strengthen industries important to the future, such as artificial intelligence, commercial aerospace, humanoid robots and synthetic biology.

Wuxi will speed up measures for economic transformation and upgrading. It will encourage competitive industries to expand business and enhance banding, and foster the advanced manufacturing industry to become internationally competitive. Further efforts will be made to advance green and low-carbon transformation, expedite the new round of Taihu Lake cleanup, and transform companies and industrial parks to go net-zero or low-carbon, thus underscoring the city’s commitment to sustainable and high-quality development.

Wuxi is committed to integrated development in fostering a new development pattern. It will implement the action plan to deeply engage in the Shanghai Metropolitan Area and enhance the development of the Yangtze River Delta-Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao (Wuxi) S&T Innovation and Industry Integrated Development Zone.

Wuxi aspires to make new strides in enhancing people’s wellbeing. It will strengthen efforts to support the elderly, children, low-income earners and other vulnerable groups, and ensure workplace safety.
