Guests for the third Jiangsu Development Conference have arrived in Nanjing ahead of its opening on May 20.
Upon her arrival on May 18, Pu Yi’an, a media professional specializing in business and economy, said she immediately felt the city’s exciting development as soon as she left the high-speed railway station. Six years after she attended the first Jiangsu Development Conference in 2017, Pu emphasized that the improvement of infrastructure and the rise of strategic and emerging industries left a deep impression on her.
Wu Hao, president of Russia Chinese Youth Association, said he will try his best to contribute to the exchange and cooperation between Jiangsu and Russia. Wu also mentioned his involvement in organizing the Moscow Chinese International School and expressed his desire to promote educational partnership between China and Russia.
Among the conference participants, Yiu Mau-Hung, chairman of Federation of HK Jiangsu Community Organisations, joined Tang Ying-yen to lead a 600-strong delegation to visit Jiangsu last month. Yiu said nearly half of the delegation were young people and deeply impressed by Jiangsu. Some of these young people have already started seeking cooperation in pharmaceutical field in Taizhou City. Yiu further explained that a new delegation of university students plans to visit Jiangsu during the summer holiday as part of efforts to support Hong Kong’s young people in developing their careers in the province.
