Bloggers, vloggers and influencers from the UK, Italy, Croatia and other countries visited Suzhou City on June 23 during the “Daka China--Hello, Yangtze River Delta” tour.

The tour is organized by Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai, the four regions that form the delta, one of China's most dynamic regions with the highest-level opening-up and the strongest innovation capability.

Participant visited Suzhou’s local marketplaces, cultural attractions and innovative companies, gaining a deep understanding of the city’s historical heritage and economic vitality.

Lion Grove Garden (Shizilin) is one of the four most famous and representative classic gardens in Suzhou and also a UNESCO cultural heritage. Stollery Saul Jerone from Britain, who has been in China for 11 years, hailed Suzhou as a relaxing, comfortable and vibrant city. After taking many photos, Croatian photographer Martin Stokic said that everything in the garden is so refreshing, especially the roof of the hall.

The tour included a stop at Suzhou Smart Manufacturing Integration Development Centre, where a large screen presents an overview of more than 60 companies engaged in smart manufacturing, industrial internet and integrated services. A scanning of the QR code can lead to direct contact with a company and learn about its products and services. Rachele Longhi from Italy, who had visited Suzhou in the past, said that the city has seen a rapid development with many companies equipped with intelligent workshops and advanced technology.

The group also visited Shuangta Market (Twin Towers Market), which is one of old farmers' markets in the city and has undergone a renovation. The renovated marketplace has become a popular destination for locals and tourists.

Jason Richard Lightfoot said Shuangta reflects a great lifestyle since people can buy handicrafts, try delicacies, drink coffee and meet friends all in this one venue. In the view of Lee John Barrett, Suzhou provides a great living environment and service for the people, and some of its practices can be a good inspiration to other cities.

During the tour that runs until June 27, participants will also visit Hangzhou and Huangshan cities. it’s expected that this tour will help them better understand the integrated, quality-centered development in the delta.
