An outline featuring work priorities for e-governance of Jiangsu Province in 2023 has recently been released.
Jiangsu plans to focus on improving its integrated government big data system, promoting digital transformation of industry sectors, and advancing governance process restructuring and optimization in a bid to enhance government management and service efficiency.
To form data resource system for government affairs, the province will tentatively set up the position of provincial chief data officer, improve standardization of public data platforms at the provincial and municipal levels, pilot data sharing and integration methods, and support data circulation and sharing across departments.
Jiangsu will expand the opening of government affairs data, and accelerate the safe and orderly opening of data in education, transportation, and other fields, aiming to open 92% of public data.
The province also prioritizes expanding the application of electronic license. This will involve efforts of improving the issuing mechanism, complete licenses digitizing, and ensuring the synchronized update of digital and paper versions. Meanwhile, it also aims to use digital versions of personal identification documents in more scenarios.
Jiangsu plans to enhance the government service system to be modernized and first-class by incorporating more apps on urban services. It will also promote the integration of various types of ID codes, so people can get more things done simply by scanning the QR code.
In promoting digital transformation, the province will optimize the information system for educational services, standardize the management of education data, improve the province's education platform to become a national model. In addition, Jiangsu will speed up the implementation of an integrated civil affairs information platform and strengthen the sharing and app development of business data.
In 2023, the province intends to improve tourism services and innovate tourism management through digital and smart technologies. Jiangsu will also support qualified medical institutions to open online hospitals.
