In March, immigration authorities across China handled 407,000 exits and entries made by residents of Jiangsu Province, an increase of 308.4% year-on-year and 49.6% compared to last month.
The number of Jiangsu residents passing through the province’s border control points expanded by 31 times to more than 70,000 compared to one year ago and 65.7% higher than last month.
China has gradually adjusted immigration management, outbound travel, international flights and other policies this year, significantly facilitating exit and entry trips.
The airports in Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, Nantong and Yancheng have resumed 18 international routes. Data showed that the province's ports in March handled 1,065 inbound and outbound flights with 118,000 passengers, up 28 times year-on-year and 50% higher than the figure in February.
The number of outbound trips for tourism reached 39,000, an increase of 75.8% than in February.
Besides, the province's airport border checkpoints have taken a variety of measures to improve the efficiency of customs clearance, ensuring the procedure for Chinese citizens does not exceed 30 minutes.
