Xinjiekou, the central business district in Nanjing, is home to nearly 100 milk tea and fruit tea stores.

Chayanyuese, headquartered in Changsha City of Hunan Province, opened a tea store at Xinjiekou in August, the brand's first store in East China, and attracted many customers.

Another store by a brand from Southwest China's Yunnan Province has featured Chinese style in its decoration, such as the blue-and-white porcelain tea cups. It received 300 orders in 10 minutes after the store's mini-program went live and sold 3,800 cups of milk tea on the first day, more than 10,000 cups in three days.

The tea shops have mushroomed because of people's growing demand for healthy beverage, new drinking experience, or love of China-chic styles and traditional tea-making techniques.

In addition, such tea stores often give priority to building their reputations online and encourage customers to use their own social media accounts for brand publicity or special deals. The use of fresh marketing methods has also enhanced customer relationship management.
