He said that 2020 was an extraordinary year and, under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at its core, China overcame the enormous challenges, made great achievement during the battle against COVID-19, built a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, and successfully achieved its first centenary goal.

He stressed that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and the starting point on a new journey to fully building a modern China. Jiangsu’s deputies to the NPC must fulfill their duties and make due contribution to the success of the annual session and the starting point towards new objectives.
