The School of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University and the Fine Arts Academy of Bologna jointly hosted the Chinese-Italian Illustration Exhibition in Nanjing on January 2.
The exhibition also marked the inauguration of the Chinese-Italian Illustration Center, led by the two institutes.
The School of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University boasts a history of over 120 years, with significant accomplishments in art creation, art education, and the integration of art and technology. The Bologna academy, the first institution in Italy offering courses in illustration, is engaging in this type of cooperation with a Chinese counterpart for the first time.
The 17-day exhibition features 78 pieces from 49 Chinese and Italian illustrators, including the award-winning works at competitions such as the Hiii Illustration, the 3x3 Illustration Show in the US, and the China International Cartoon Biennale.
