Suzhou South Railway Station launched its first high-speed train service to Hong Kong on January 5, as the Fuxing high-speed train G99 departed for Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.
This marked the first high-speed train service between the two stations since the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou high-speed rail line began operations on December 26, 2024. It is also the first direct train from Jiangsu to Hong Kong.
Zhang Yinen, a passenger service officer at Suzhou South Railway Station, said that starting January 5, the daily G99 service is scheduled to leave at 14:22 and arrive at 21:56 the same day, completing the journey in 7 hours and 34 minutes. The return high-speed train, numbered G100, began operation on January 6, departing from the Hong Kong station at 11:37 and arriving in Suzhou at 19:14, covering a journey of 7 hours and 37 minutes.
