To improve the COVID-19 prevention and control and lower the costs of testing, Jiangsu’s Medical Insurance Bureau and Health Commission jointly announced a decision to cut the prices of COVID-19 tests effective from February 2.
The cost for nucleic acid test and antibody test will fall to 80 yuan and 30 yuan per test from currently 120 yuan and 40 yuan, respectively. The fee for large-scale, government-organized testing will be 20 yuan. Public hospitals and medical institutions are required to make timely price changes and announcements accordingly.
