At the fourth session of the 13th Jiangsu People's Congress, the province’s governor Wu Zhenglong joined deputies from Nanjing City to deliberate the government work report on January 26.
Wu, also a deputy of the provincial capital, thought highly of the city’s quality-orientated development and effective response against major challenges.
This year marks the beginning of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), the start of embarking on a journey to fully build a modern socialist China, and the 100th founding anniversary of the CPC. It’s important to hold fast to the people-centered development philosophy, accurately understand and deeply enforce the new development paradigm, and accelerate the move towards new strides, according to Wu.
He also said more efforts are needed to better coordinate development and safety, promote reform and innovation, green development and urban safety, and enable Nanjing to be a role model and a leading growth driver to neighboring areas.
