A joint meeting on civil air defense in the Yangtze River Delta, which consists of Shanghai Municipality and Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, took place in Nanjing on August 4.

Under the theme of "sharing development outcomes, safeguarding protection of the people", the meeting focused on coordination and integrated public service regarding the civil air defense market, making clear the guiding policy, technical standards, unified procedures and supervision mechanism for companies to operate across the delta, one of China’s major economic centers. Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui aim to establish an industrial platform, open the market in a gradual and orderly manner and at high standards, and promote the market development to be sustainable.

The integrated civil air defense work in the Yangtze River Delta was launched in last August in Shanghai. Authorities from three other provinces have strengthened cooperation and coordination with Shanghai, such as holding joint drills or awareness campaigns, improving communication and other cross-regional initiatives.
