Since Jiangsu sent the first group of medical workers to Hubei on January 25, the coastal province had delivered 545,800 pieces of medical supplies to Hubei, hit hard by the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The medical supplies included 516,000 medical protective equipment, 78 medial ventilators, 100 ECG monitors, and 20 high-flow oxygen devices. At the same time, about 2.56 million pieces of medical supplies had been delivered to the medical professionals in Jiangsu itself.

At present the production capacity of Jiangsu can fully satisfy the medical demand of the two provinces in fighting the outbreak.

“We have already been through the toughest time. Now we have abundant medical equipment for protection in stock that can sustain medics working in Hubei province for over ten days,” said Shu Yiping, deputy head of medical supplies team, under a work leading group of Jiangsu Health Commission

The entire medical industrial system in Jiangsu, an economic powerhouse in China, is going full steam ahead thanks to close cooperation in every stage, producing a growing number of masks, medical suits, goggles and face shields. No hospital in Jiangsu has been interrupted from fighting the outbreak because of shortage of medical supplies.
