The provincial government of Jiangsu has issued measures aimed at accelerating the transition to a green, low-carbon economy by 2035.

In building a world-class green industrial cluster, Jiangsu plans to expand eco-friendly sectors such as wind power, photovoltaics, new energy vehicles, and new types of energy storage. By 2030, Jiangsu aims to develop an energy conservation and environmental protection industry worth 1.2 trillion yuan, with the installed capacity of renewable energy generation reaching about 100 million kilowatts and non-fossil energy consumption accounting for about 25% of total energy use.

In accelerating the green transformation of traditional industries, Jiangsu will continue to upgrade large-scale equipment. New projects and renovations in sectors such as steel, petrochemicals, and building materials must adhere to A-level environmental performance standards.

Additionally, measures have been implemented in areas such as green buildings, transportation decarbonization, living environment improvement in urban and rural areas, resource recycling promotion, and commercialization of green technologies.
