The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has recently introduced 17 measures aimed at generating new momentum for high-quality development and sustained growth in rural areas.

The new measures focus on key areas such as ensuring production stability, expanding investment, promoting consumption, improving people's livelihoods, and optimizing services.

Support will be provided to projects focused on improving alkaline and saline soils, and building smart farms for crops, livestock, and fisheries. Efforts will also be made to rebuild agricultural facilities damaged by typhoons and boost sustainable development in fisheries.

The province will facilitate regular financing matchmaking events with the aim of strengthening financial services and loan support. A talent pool will also be established to help improve the educational qualifications for young farmers.

Additionally, Jiangsu will support the construction of village roads, revitalize idle rural housing, increase microloan support for entrepreneurship among the rural low-income populations, and create more public welfare jobs to boost farmers’ incomes.
