Jiangsu's 47 enterprises are participating in the 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, held from June 7 to 11 in the southern city.
Jiangsu has been present at the fair for 19 consecutive years. The province's exhibition zone in this edition highlights achievements in a large project focused on researching and promoting the cultural and literature heritage, inheritance and innovation of fine traditional culture, as well as digital transformation in the cultural endeavor.
The zone features 1,002 books published under the Jiangsu Library program as well as publications about the history of the Grand Canal and the Yangtze River. At the fair, Jiangsu also showcases various databases and cloud platforms related to the vast waterway system, the initiative to build a national culture park, and the trade of cultural-related Big Data, indicating the province's strides in digital transformation.
Visitors to the exhibition zone will also find Jiangsu's nine items recognized as intangible cultural heritage, including Nanjing's velvet flower, Dafeng's porcelain carving, Xuzhou's fragrant sachets, Suzhou-style embroidery and Yixing's clay teapot. The exhibits reveal the inheritance and innovation of such time-honored traditional crafts.
