Nanjing City and Southeast University have jointly released a 3-year action plan to establish the Future Network and Future Industries S&T Park.
The park has received approval from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education, one of the first in China and the only one in Jiangsu Province. It will be developed by Southeast University in cooperation with the Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone in Nanjing.
The park will focus on three fields - 6G communications, new network, information metamaterials - with a planned area of about 16 square kilometers. It will house facilities from Southeast University, Purple Mountain Laboratories, nine national research institutions, as well as over 3,000 high-end talents and over 200 high-tech enterprises.
By 2025, the park plans to complete 60 research projects related to core technologies, formulate 30 industry standards, and support the incubation of 500 high-tech enterprises.
