The equestrian competitions for the youths, part of the 20th Jiangsu Provincial Games, opened on August 1 at the Heilan Equestrian complex in Jiangyin of Wuxi City.
Six teams from Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Changzhou, Nantong and Taizhou, with 107 athletes and nearly 150 horses, competed in seven events in three days, including dressage and show jumping.
This marked the first time for equestrian competitions to be included in the provincial games. Wang Yishu, 15 and from Suzhou City, won the gold medal in dressage.
