Changzhou unveiled its International Sister Cities’ Reception Hall located in the city’s library on June 28.
The library also designated a space for the exhibition of books from sister cities in countries along the Belt and Road initiative.
The project will feature photography exhibitions, workshops on reading and painting, and exchanges to advance international sister-city ties and help Changzhou’s high-level opening up. Yan Xuhua, deputy director of Changzhou’s Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, said the project allows local residents to better understand international cities that have a close tie with Changzhou and also helps foreigners enhance their sense of belonging in the city.
Changzhou has 54 international sister cities in 27 countries, which play an important role in the city’s foreign trade and cooperation.
