A total of 145 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions including the United States, Britain, the Netherlands and Japan attended the Yangzhou International Creative Food Festival Expo and the concurrent 3rd China Morning Tea Festival on December 28.
The week-long expo will include a series of events such as a forum, introduction of ten innovative dishes of Huaiyang cuisine, and demonstration of cooking famous snacks.
Due to COVID-19, the event is held both on-site and online. Huaiyang cuisine, one of the four major cooking styles in China, has really helped put Yangzhou on the map.
The opening ceremony of the expo also saw eight investment deals worth 1.7 billion yuan in Yangzhou, such as a production and cold storage facility with an investment of 500 million yuan as well as a processing center for condiments and seasonings worth 300 million yuan.
