Many residents participated in a night run for 5.2 kilometers along the Yangtze River on January 12 as part of the Nanjing Youth Olympic Lantern and Art Festival held in Jianye District.
The festival has attracted over 300,000 visitors since it kicked off in the Youth Olympic Cultural Centre on December 27.
Unlike a traditional lantern show, the festival integrates lights, exhibitions and performances, offering a fun, engaging carnival featuring creativity, technology and art. The festival includes over 40 spectacular installations on different themes.
