More than 30 time-honored brands and agriculture companies displayed some 200 quality products during the 515 Yancheng Shopping Festival that opened on May 15. 

Yancheng’s grain output has surpassed 7 billion kilograms for seven consecutive years and is the only city in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta region to boast a total agricultural output value exceeding 100 billion yuan threshold.   

In 2021, the city ranked first in Jiangsu in terms of grain crops, hogs and other major agricultural produces, and the output value of agricultural products processing also reached 300 billion yuan.  

The city’s Quality Agricultural Products Branding and Marketing Association consists of nearly 100 leading enterprises, which have cooperated to enhance and safeguard Yancheng’s reputation as an agricultural powerhouse, set up standards, align branding campaigns for maximum impact, and facilitate product traceability to increase consumer trust.  

During the fight against COVID-19, over 1,000 tonnes of supplies such as vegetables, cooking oil, grain, pork, eggs and aquatic products were distributed to Shanghai.
