Dai Jiangqi, a student of Nanjing Foreign Language School, won first place at the 13th Romanian Master in Mathematics (RMM 2021) held online from Oct 11 to 16.

RMM provides a great opportunity for young people to demonstrate their abilities in Mathematics, to exchange knowledge and to enhance cross-cultural contacts in high-school education. It’s one of three main international competitions that Chinese high-school students attend as Team China, the other two being the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and Russian Mathematical Olympiad (RMO).

Dai Jiangqi graduated from Nanjing Lixue Primary School in 2017 and has had a keen interest in mathematics and science. Dai won a gold medal at the China Mathematical Olympiad in November 2020, winning the chance to be admitted by Tsinghua University and Peking University without taking the entrance exam.

Students from Nanjing Foreign Language School won four gold medals and one silver medal at RMM 2021.
