Yangzhou will resume the cruise service along the ancient section of the Grand Canal starting from October 15, a great opportunity to get a close look at the UNESCO World Heritage site.
The tour will take nearly 2 hours in one way over a waterway of 20.5 kilometers long. It starts at the Dongguan Ancient Ferry Pier, passes landmarks including the Wenfeng Temple and the China Grand Canal Museum, and reaches the pier at Guazhou Park.
The cruise service costs 160 yuan for a round-trip and starts at 9:00 and 10:00 each day. The guided tour is expected to provide tourists a great view of the ancient canal and an in-depth understanding of the city's history and culture.
