On May 5, Nanjing Lukou International Airport launched its first all-cargo flight route to Mexico City via Anchorage.

Eastern Airports Group has adjusted part of its existing Chicago-bound cargo capacity to this new route in response to ongoing China–US trade tensions and the restructuring of global supply chains.

The service, operated weekly with a Boeing 747 offering a 110-tonne capacity, aims to use Mexico as a transit hub to strengthen trade ties between the Yangtze River Delta, North America, and the broader Latin American market.
