About 500 young people from Taiwan explored Suzhou City on July 22 through seven themed tour routes ahead of the 4th Cross-Straits Youth Culture Month.
The routes highlight various aspects of the city, including its classical gardens, old streets, technology companies, and Suzhou-style cuisine. They allowed participants to experience the rich cultural heritage and vibrant development of both Suzhou and Jiangsu Province.
On the food-themed route, one participant praised the Suzhou-style mung bean soup for its refreshing taste despite its plain appearance.
Suzhou not only boasts a beautiful natural environment but also features vibrant economic growth, a robust industrial foundation and a favorable environment for innovation. During visits to local companies, the youths learned about cutting-edge products, automated workshops, and advanced technologies.
One participant observed significant investments in reach and development, noting that their emphasis on innovation and the successful technology commercialization.
