Taicang Port’s foreign trade cargo throughput exceeded 100 million tonnes in the first 10 months of this year, marking a 7.88% year-on-year increase.
The port achieved this milestone nearly a month earlier than the previous year, according to the Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration.
During this period, Taicang Port handled a total cargo throughput of 239 million tonnes, representing a 3.53% year-on-year increase. Container throughput grew by 4.95% year-on-year to about 7.04 million TEUs.
