Jiangsu's foreign trade with nine BRICS members reached over 350 billion yuan in the first seven months of the year, marking an 8.1% increase year-on-year, as the BRICS cooperation mechanism continues to flourish among emerging markets and developing countries.

On August 15, Nantong Cellulose Fibers Co., Ltd. declared the import of chemical wood pulp from Brazil, valued at 8.576 million yuan. The company imported about 38,000 tonnes of chemical wood pulp from the BRICS member in the first seven months, according to the company’s manager Hu Yonggang.

LG Electronics Nanjing New Technology, a major manufacturer of consumer electronics including LCDs, laptops, and projectors, expects its export value to Brazil during the seven months to rise by 7% year-on-year, said Tan Yunfeng, the company’s customs supervisor.
