The China-Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) Logistics Cooperation Base, the first entity project inaugurated under the Belt and Road Initiative, has established an extensive network of logistic solutions, including ocean liners, deep-water ports, inland waterways, and transportation hubs. The base has facilitated faster international freight train services and more efficient multimodal transportation. It now serves as a new Silk Road connecting Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, and Europe.
"We have launched six freight train routes to the five Central Asian countries, including transportation partly by trucks to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, achieving full coverage of major destinations in Central Asia,” said Kong Xiangwei, deputy general manager of Lianyungang China-Kazakhstan International Logistics Co., Ltd.
