Suzhou recently dispatched its first China-Europe cargo train of 2024, bound for Kazakhstan via Alashankou Port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Suzhou is the first city in the Yangtze River Delta region to offer the cargo train service. Currently, the city boasts a network of ten cargo train routes, connecting Suzhou with 35 cities across over 20 countries in Europe and Asia.
In 2023, Suzhou recorded a total of 521 China-Europe cargo train trips, a year-on-year increase of 3.58%.
