Suzhou City has introduced 30 measures across eight fields to promote the sustained economic recovery and growth, according to a press conference on September 11.
The measures range from boosting consumer spending to stabilizing foreign trade and improving people’s livelihoods.
For instance, the city plans to prioritize the buying of new energy vehicles within the public sector, issue subsidies for spending via digital yuan, host diverse promotional activities, and encourage large-scale games and concerts.
Suzhou will optimize the environment for private investment, and facilitate key projects associated with pro-innovation endeavors and emerging service sectors.
The city plans to advance foreign trade in new forms and modes. It will encourage investment promotions held abroad, support foreign-funded companies to reinvest the profits, and streamline the border entry and exit procedures as well as residence permit applications.
In addition, Suzhou will fast-track the commercialization and application of technological advances, and increase financial support for innovation.
The city will also speed up the development of several industries, including biomedicine, home furnishing, marine economy, and emerging industries.
