Germany's Vaillant signed an agreement on February 15 to establish its Asia Pacific R&D and Manufacturing Headquarters in the Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND).
This will be the first research, development and manufacturing hub of the company, known globally for heating and cooling systems, located out of Europe.
Wuxi Mayor Zhao Jianjun and Dr.-Ing. Norbert Schiedeck, the CEO of Venable Group, witnessed the signing ceremony via video link and also had an in-depth exchange of views on the cooperation and development plan.
The facility will cover a total area of 160 mu, including 96 mu in the first phase. It will be used for the R&D and production of wall-hung boilers, heaters, ventilation system and other world-class products. Construction of the first phase will start in the first quarter of this year and be put into operation by the end of next year. After completion, it will not only become a key part of Vaillant’s global network but also promote its role in the city’s intelligent manufacturing sector.
