The 2022 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference opened in Nanjing on November 23.
Xu Kunlin, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and governor, said Jiangsu as a large manufacturing province has promoted the extensive digital and intelligent transformation especially in manufacturing sector.
The province will focus on enhancing the innovation capacity, building a solid foundation and improving the application of intelligent technologies, according to Xu.
He also said Jiangsu is committed to creating a market-oriented, world-class business environment governed by a sound legal framework and encourages foreign investment, innovation and entrepreneurship in the province.
Xin Guobin, vice-minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said the ministry will give priority to intelligent manufacturing progress, move ahead on the basis of industrial realities, and build a high-performance innovation system.
The ministry will also strengthen basic research, support the innovation-driven development of equipment, software and systems, and accelerate the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, Xin said.
Efforts will also be made to promote smart manufacturing partnership program and carry out cross-sector exchanges and cooperation, according to Xin.
Xin also joined vice governor Hu Guangjie to present awards to the winner representatives at the 2nd Smart Manufacturing Innovation Competition.
The conference saw the launch of a public service platform for intelligent manufacturing data, the release of a research report on the development of China’s intelligent manufacturing, and the announcement of top ten technological advances in intelligent manufacturing both in the world and China.
